This study explores the process by which skilled migrants from Bangladesh settle in South Korea, shedding light on the challenges they face and the strategies they use for successful integration. Through in-depth (e.g., Semi-structure) interviews with 12 respondents who have already obtained permanent residency or citizenship, the research provides a detailed analysis of how these immigrants navigate their new lives and integrate into Korean society. In the early stages, the study examines the strategies used by Bangladeshi professional immigrants to permanently settle in South Korea. It particularly focuses on how they build careers in academia or corporate sectors to secure long-term residency, sharing common experiences in this process. The research highlights how pursuing academic careers, such as university professorships or research positions, or leveraging professional expertise in companies, serves as a primary method for these individuals to establish themselves in Korea. It analyzes the various challenges and experiences they encounter in building a stable life.
