Abstract
M. P. Price thought that the First World War was unnecessary and immoral and that it could be possible only on the basis of lies and fictitious facts. Thus, he regarded it as his own duty to go to Russia and inform British people of what was really going on.
In 1917, Price found in the Russian Revolution a road out of the catastrophic war. From this prospect he gave moral support to the Russian Revolution and hoped that it would develop with no intervention from outside. Yet the Allied Governments including British one were critical to the advancement of the Russian Revolution and, after the November Revolution, helped the anti-soviet elements in search of overthrowing the Soviet government. Therefore Price stood for Soviet Russia against the Allied Intervention and gradually identified himself with the Bolshevik party and its Government.
