While empirical studies on gravity model have focused on cross-sectional and panel data analysis, the debate on estimation of gravity model vis-？-vis panel data set still goes on. In this paper, we argue that, as a proper econometric specification of a gravity model, time-fixed effect model of a panel data analysis is more suitable than either cross-sectional fixed and two-way fixed effect model because it is more consistent with the theoretical foundation of the gravity model.
