This study examines the dynamics and characteristics of the distribution channels in the convention industry in Daegu City and it has the following objectives: First, it aims to examine the characteristics (i.e., industrial sector, year established and the size of organization) of major convention suppliers in Daegu City. Second, it aims to investigate the structural characteristics of the resource exchange network formed by convention suppliers. As a result, a variety of industrial sectors were engaged in forming network for convention businesses in Daegu City. There is a tendency to show stronger relationship among CVB, BEXCO, hotels, PCOs, and equipment rental. However, more efforts should be made to include entities such as recreation facilities and transportation in the networks. In addition, we conclude that the role of CVB in Daegu City should be enhanced in exchanging resources among convention suppliers.
