This study aims to develop and apply the teaching and learning materials for the inquiry activities of Life Science I using smart devices. This study analyzed the 2015 revised curriculum and the inquiry activities provided in the textbooks for material development and topics of activities, and smart education tools were selected based on the previous studies. Then, these materials were applied in class of 81 students in the 11th grade and the survey was conducted to find out their perceptions of inquiry activities using smart devices. The topics of activities were as follows: ‘Making a bacteriophage model’, ‘Making a sarcomere model’, ‘Making a brain model’, ‘Determining blood type with an antigen and antibody model’, and ‘Analyzing human karyotype’. For the smart education tools, ‘Tinkercad’, ‘Mentimeter’, and ‘Padlet’ were used. At the beginning and final of the class, students were made to solve quizzes or confirm their answers with Mentimeter. In the middle of the class, students did some inquiry activities with Tinkercad and uploaded the results to the Padlet to share their ideas.
