We compared survey results of natural environment for Naejangsan National Park between 2004 and 2013 and investigated the distribution and abundance of the bird species and their interactions with the physical and biological factors. Total 93 species, 4340 individuals in 2013 were counted from 20 grids that commonly surveyed in both years, which is about 1.3 times more species and 1.9 times more individuals than in 2004. However, biodiversity index were similar. From available environmental data from 24 grids, we found that bird species responded altitude and water existence to Canonical Correspondence axis. As increasing altitude, some individuals decreased while some species (e.g. Sitta europaea, Parus palustris, Dendrocopos leucotos, Corvus macrorhynchos) significantly increased. We discussed the causes of changes in specie distribution, abundance and biodiversity of birds from the past year as well as their responding environmental factors in Naejangsan National Park.
