The paper written by Hu et al.[3], which deals with estimating a cycle time for completing an operation in a new type of AS/RS, is considered as a pioneer work in the field of Split Platform-AS/RS to handle heavy loads such as containers. It is often referred to following researches which aim at extensive applications of SP-AS/RS in practise. Nevertheless, the paper has some errors in the mathematical expression, and has space to improve the method to conduct sensitivity analysis on major variables. In this paper, these two issues will be treated.
