Abstract
Tea in Chinese life always occupy a very important position, with deep cultural inside, plays an important role which cannot be neglected. Huizong, as "the emperor artist" with the complete artistic accomplishment, is the king of Song dynasty who loved and studied tea all his life, wrote "The Grand View of Tea". The theory in this book plays a particularly important role to the world development of tea culture. The tea culture in Song dynasty mixed Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism three together and they four has reached an unprecedented high degree of unity, both on the external skill and the internal thoughts pursuit, reached the peak in the history of the whole tea culture development. This paper aims to study the contribution to tea culture Huizong made in his ruling period.
