This thesis aims to investigate the way how Kim Saryang''s literature - the author being experienced with agitating modern Korea- had been affected by Lu Xun''s works of arts. In chapter 2, Kim''s tragic narrative was explored to reveal Lu Xun''s tragic view in deep context. And then. the distinctive aspect of accepting Lu Xun''s creative style in Kim''s work is explored. Especially the characteristic in which the elements of comedy emphasizes tragic vision can make a tragi-comic characters such as Earl Q, Hyunryong, and Teacher Kopuri. In chapter 4, the fact that Lu Xun depicts the future as bright in spite of dismal circumstances is expounded, which can be found in Kim''s artistic world.
