Journal of ‘The Korean Language and Literature’(JKLL) has been published 159 volumes for the last 60s years. Various academic results of researches on the Korean modern and contemporary literatures have been issued with the JKLL that is the representative journal of Korean studies. In 1950·60''s the number of articles is forty that is relatively not many. The issued articles were increased double in 1970''s and almost fourfold in 1980''s and 1990''s. Eventually 260 of refined articles were published with JKLL in 2000''s. We can discover that the JKLL has covered widely the diversified trends of leading and progressive methodologies of the modern and contemporary literatures. As a leading journal of Korean studies JKLL will produce appropriate academic discourses with confronting the altering cultural environments.
