Purpose: This study aimed to identify the needs of older adults receiving home visiting nursing services under long-term care insurance by comparing their characteristics across different care grades. Methods: A secondary data analysis was conducted among individuals who received home visiting nursing services from a nursing service center in G metropolitan city from November 2019∼April 2024. A total of 247 older adults were included in the analysis, comprising 73 in grades 1 and 2 and 174 in grades 3 and 4. Demographic characteristics, health-related factors, major disease status, and physical activity were analyzed based on care grade. Subjective needs were categorized as actual and potential needs and visualized using a Word Cloud. Results: Significant differences were found in body mass index, oral health condition, hearing status, communication abilities, and physical condition among older adults in grades 1 and 2 compared with those in grades 3 and 4. A needs analysis revealed that regardless of care grade, the primary actual need was nutrition management. Potential needs included bedsore prevention for grades 1 and 2 and joint contracture prevention for grades 3 and 4.
