Purpose ? The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of inbound tourism and information & communication technology(ICT) on the economic level respectively, and examine the interaction effect between inbound tourism and ICT on the economic level, considering the prevalent importance of the use of ICT in the tourism industry. Design, data, and methodology ?In total, 777 observations of 120 countries from 2012 to 2019 was used to analyze by two multiple regression models with the dependent variable of the economic level and the independent variables of inbound tourism revenue and ICT adoption from World Bank data and Global Competitiveness Index. Result ? The results of this study demonstrated significantly positive effects of inbound tourism and ICT individually on the economic level, and a positive and significant effect of the interaction between inbound tourism and ICT on the economic level. Conclusions ? In the tourism industry, the provision of tourism services using ICT is increasing. In particular, inbound tourists need to consider the increasing use of ICT from visit reservations to local tourism activities.
