This study examines the key dimensions of health and safety issues affecting seasonal migrant workers in South Korea, including working and living conditions, health and safety protection, training, and legal and policy frameworks. In order to understand the nuances of these challenges, it examines some cases that illustrate the experiences of seasonal migrant workers in the agricultural sector. The study highlights that despite the positive changes the program has brought to the local agricultural sector, there are still an alarming number of health and safety issues that require continuous policy improvement and effective implementation to establish a systematic program. It calls for the assignment of a government agency dedicated to and focused on the Seasonal Workers Program to monitor, evaluate and inspect the compliance of key units of the Program.
