Laryngeal foreign body can be a life-threatening emergency. Respiratory distress, aphonia, andcyanosis may occur in quick succession. However, in case of a non-obstructive laryngeal foreignbody, symptoms can be indolent, but the hazardous foreign body can nevertheless put thepatient in danger. To prevent life-threatening consequences, early detection based on symptomsis imperative. This case, which presented with usual symptoms of anterior neck pain and throatdiscomfort without respiratory symptoms and an unusual site of laryngeal foreign body, finallyturned out to be an impacted fish bone in the subglottis.
