Amid the rapid aging and the trend of self-development of active seniors, interest in healthy and beautiful aging is increasing. This study attempted to empirically analyze the effect of active seniors’ cosmetic usage behavior on psychological well-being and successful aging. To this end, a survey was conducted on 300 men and women aged 50 to 69 in the Jeolla-do region, and frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability verification, correlation and regression analysis were performed using SPSS v.25.0. As a result of the analysis, the respondents consisted of 189 (63.0%) in their 50s, 111 (37.0%) in their 60s, 147 (49.0%) in men, and 153 (51.0%) in women. As a result of the study, it was found that cosmetics use behavior had a significant positive (+) effect on psychological wellbeing (competence, immersion) and successful aging (food life, cognitive and mental health, social support). Accordingly, the necessity of developing educational programs reflecting the characteristics of cosmetics use by age, psychological and emotional support programs, programs that support successful aging, and programs that provide customized beauty services are suggested.
