This study attempted to investigate the facial skincare effects of cosmetics containing Malpighia emarginata extract. For this, an experiment was performed against a total of 14 adult women in their 20-50s, who were suffering from pigmentation and wrinkles from April to June, 2019. Serum containing Malpighia emarginata extract and another serum having the same ingredients but Malpighia emarginata were applied to the testees. The right and left sides of their faces were divided into experimental and control groups respectively. A certain amount of the sebum was applied twice a day (morning, evening). To accelerate its absorption, a basic skin care treatment was given every week (6 times in total). The results were compared through satisfaction analysis, using a facial skin analyzer (mark-vu). In the experimental group, melanin, wrinkle, skin tone and pigmentation levels improved. The continuous use of cosmetics with a high content of vitamin C from Malpighia emarginata and skincare treatment improved facial skin conditions. Therefore, it is anticipated that the study results would be available for marketing and basic studies on Malpighia emarginata-related cosmetics.
