The focus of onsumers’ consideration is showing a shift from physical function to the emotional value of products. Even the lighting industry which has specialized demands for the function of products cannot escape from this trend. Exterior lighting equipment which is part of the issue of public design is mostly evaluated for the performance, not the quality. Above all, LED floodlights are implemented without concern for their design notwithstanding their outward appearance in the daytime. This paper investigates the structure and form of high-power LED floodlights with respect to installation areas. It also presents design components CMF(color, materials, finishing) which would enhance the general quality of LED floodlights.
