Abstract
This study attempted to investigate the influence of psychological burnout on job satisfaction and turnover intention of beauty salon workers after classifying hair salons into sole proprietorship, regional multi-store, and franchise chains. For this, a questionnaire survey was conducted among 600 hair stylists, and the effects of psychological burnout on job satisfaction and turnover intention were analyzed using SPSS 21.0. The results obtained are as follows. In terms of psychological burnout, a decrease in the sense of achievement and emotional exhaustion had a negative influence on job satisfaction with statistical significance. Regarding correlations between psychological burnout and turnover intention, a decrease in the sense of achievement revealed a positive effect on the turnover intention of the workers of the regional multi-stores. In the cases of sole proprietorships and franchise chains, depersonalization and emotional exhaustion showed a positive influence on the turnover intention with statistical significance. In regard to job satisfaction-turnover intention relationship, as job satisfaction grew higher, the turnover intention decreased in all the three beauty salon types.
