The purpose of this study is to develop a New Hanbok Jeogori design for a customizing platform. Customers will access the Hanbok they want on the online platform and select Hankbok design by getting the basic module. The research procedure is as follows. First, the design elements that make up the Jeogori for modularization were examined. Second, representative Jeogori design elements are presented by analyzing the form of Jeogori in the existing brands and by examining the design of Jeogori favored by consumers through a survey. Third, new design elements are established based on the analysis of the Jeogori sold by the existing brands and the Jeogori shown in the survey. Finally, six designs are presented by applying the length of the Jeogori, traditional and western patterns. Jeogori photos on the sites of the nine major Shinhanbok brands were analyzed. The survey was conducted on 408 women in their 20s and older about Jeogori preference. Six design proposals were derived based on the results of the survey. The design elements, derived from the study, short, middle, and long Jeogori, were all presented, and the Jeogori patterns were designed by two types: a straight shape as a traditional style and a round shape as the western style. Princess line and darts were avoided, and the sideline was narrowed to adjust the Jeogori width to maintain the traditional style. The most preferred shape of the collar, Dongeong, and cuffs was applied through the existing brand analysis and survey analysis. Long sleeve length was applied only. Goreum was preferred for the fastening, but the knot button was applied since it was used in traditional Hanbok. As a follow-up study, Jeogori design focusing on the color, material, and pattern will be developed it can contribute to the establishment of platform.
