Abstract
The beauty industry is labor-intensive and depends on workers who are capable of satisfying customers’ esthetic desires through beauty techniques and services. In an industry that relies heavily on the quality and skill provided by its employees, the organizational citizenship between employees and corporate management can influence job satisfaction. The aim of the current study is to determine how employees’ perceptions of organizational justice affect their job satisfaction and organizational citizenship behavior in the beauty industry. Individuals employed in the skin care and hair industry between Jan. 30 and Feb. 29, 2020 were surveyed, and a total of 408 responses were used in statistical analysis. Data were coded and cleaned prior to analysis using SPSS. Results indicate that interactional justice, distributive justice and procedural justice which were sub-factors of organizational justice had a statistically significant positive impact on job satisfaction. Interactional justice and procedural justice had a statistically significant effect on altruism and civic virtue, and interactional justice, distributive justice and procedural justice on courtesy, respectively.
