A government-designated textbook which was published in 2002 and is still used as a norms in licensing textbooks has many problems such as explanation errors, wrong terms, etc. In the future it is necessary to provide a new standard norm in place of former government-designated textbook. For selecting contents of phonology education, it need specify the characteristics of grammatical knowledge contained in textbook. And many other aspect, for example difference between option courses, differentiated difficulty in middle school and high school, the scale of teaching and so on must be taken into account. After that, it is important to illuminate basic manners of description. It cannot be permitted for the material of textbook to violate the Korean standard, and has to show interest in practical pronunciation.
