The purpose of this paper is to present the process of a vocational program construction for ASEAN young women, analyze results of the program including the post-program responses, and provide suggestions for similar programs in the future. The program was supported by ROK-ASEAN Fund and ran for eight weeks in a Korean university. Seventeen young women trainees were selected from nine ASEAN countries. The program focused on K-beauty related skills: hair design, makeup, skin care, and nail art. The process of program construction, together with its implications for ROK-ASEAN cooperation, were discussed and results of program evaluation from the trainees were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The program generally ran successfully and trainees were able to pass all the requirements for official certificates. Post-program evaluations were also highly satisfactory. However, some students had difficulty during the classes because of lower levels of basic skills, language problems, and off-class communications with lecturers. There also were problems with recruiting students from all 10 ASEAN nations. To solve those problems, establishing connections with either academic or professional organizations in each of ASEAN states would be necessary.
