This study aims at examining the institutionalization of gender main-streaming in the local level. This research empirically analyzed some aspects of local policy in Gwangju Metropolitan City such as gender impact assessment, gender-segregated statistics, gender cognitive budget, gender cognitive education of actors in the local administrative organizations.
