This study speculates on a photo shoot which lasted from January, to December 2015. For this shoot, 36 models consisting of 18 teams with mothers in their forties and their teen daughters were recruited and their portraits were taken. The portraits of the mothers and daughters were digitally synthesized. This work did not emphasize individual elements of the models, but the subjects images were taken in black and white while they looked straight ahead as if they were looking at an object. The resulting photos were printed and displayed in a large format with the images 60Cm*80Cm. This size was three times as large as an actual Korean woman's face. The portrait images presented were a creative self-replication via the visual perceptions of the viewers. This study considered this process as Simulacre via Simulation by Deleuze. This study made portraits as a processed second reality with the use of mothers and daughters which were relatively isolated from the realm of art. In this process, the models stared at the camera at the moment when their photos were taken in the same space and time. The images made during the picture taking process were then processed again to create new images. They were displayed as huge portraits with the hope of creating flexible and changing images.
