Given the trend of the global and Korean economy, Korea's innovative city needs to be a new alternative to the Korean economy. The study suggested policies that make ' Innovation City ' work as a Plan B for the Korean economy. The innovative city 2.0 model proposed by this study consists of : First, the vision is a global gateway, creating a new paradigm. Second, the purpose of constructing innovative cities is to create new growth engines in Korea. Third, the target level of innovative cities is a sustainable city that has the ability to experiment with various ideas and lead to national development. Fourth, The means to achieve vision, purpose, and goals of Innovation City are cultivating human resources, organizing a control tower, blending, and promoting global strategy. Fifth, the strategic task of implementing the means will be to establish universities in the innovative cities, the Science and Technology Center, the agency of central government. And when the central government evaluates the local governments, it reflects the assessment of the applicable innovative city support policies.
