This study aimed to produce nail art works by combining the Y2K fashion style, which the MZ generation is enthusiastic about, with Y2K style nail art, thereby presenting various design possibilities. The future technology style was expressed through a work inspired by Diesel, a brand strongly characterized by Y2K fashion, showcasing a newtro style where the past and present coexist. The midfree style modernly reinterpreted Miu Miu’s retro fashion as a work. The high-teen style was expressed with exaggerated decorative accessories and a bold, glamorous, and kitschy modern style inspired by Bluemarine. The amekaji style represented nail art design with Fendi’s casual yet vintage practical style. The athleisure style was articulated in nail art works with its own unique stunning patterns and sheer patterns inspired by Dolce & Gabbana, showcasing a captivating style. This study is significant for developing new designs and utilizing trends by newly interpreting past Y2K fashion styles into the contemporary newtro style, applying features of Y2K styles in nail art works, and is expected to serve as a reference for future nail art design development.
