Abstract
The purpose of this study was to analyze educational needs related kindergarten evaluation. The objects of this study were 426 teachers and 120 head teachers, assistant principals and principals in Gyung-Nam who experienced evaluation. This study was performed by means of literature research, nominal group technique, pilot test and survey. T-test, Borich formula and the Locus for Focus Model were used to analyze educational needs. The result were as follows; First, the results analysing educational needs on criteria in evaluation area were ‘the regulations of personal management, salary, and welfare, and the support of professionalism’, ‘the provision of appropriate teaching materials on the development level of child and teaching subject‘ in the group of teachers, and ‘the regulations of personal management, salary, and welfare, and the support of professionalism’, ‘appropriate teaching method on the curriculum and the activity of child’ in the group of head teachers, assistant principals and principals. Second, the results analysing educational needs on curriculum related evaluation were ’the qualifications of a teacher’, ‘the management professionalism of principals’ in the group of teachers, and ‘the qualifications of a teacher’, ‘the work of cooperation among teachers’ in the group of head teachers, assistant principals and principals. Similarities and differences between two groups were presented in the results of this study. This study suggested proposals to be applied education for kindergarten teachers reflecting these results of this study.
