This study was conducted with the purpose to provide data needed for constructing an efficient field training management plan by examining recognition of field training- a major composition system of field training- and expectation levels before field training. It targeted 590 students at two high schools, three two-year colleges, and three four-year universities with the beauty program in Gwangju of southwestern region,and analyzed differences by school levels. In the result, there were some differences in characteristics regarding majors of beauty major students and field training by school levels, but in general, the importance and necessity of field training was recognized. In addition, the expectation on field training was high. Compared to high school students, college students had higher expectation on field training.
