Abstract
This study examines whether work-family conflict and burnout differ significantly by hotel divisions through positive analysis, and then it provides related implications. A survey was conducted on hotel employees, and the research was based on 341 effective samples collected. According to the result of the factor analysis, work-family conflict comprised two factors, work-family conflict and family-work conflict, and burnout consisted of three factors, emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and reduced personal accomplishment. In the verification of the hypothesis through variance analysis that work-family conflict and burnout differ significantly by hotel divisions, among the work-family conflict and the burnout factors, emotional exhaustion and reduced personal accomplishment indicated significant differences. Last, in the correlation analysis of work-family conflict and burnout in relation to hotel divisions, work-family conflict revealed a significant correlation with reduced personal accomplishment and depersonalization, and family-work conflict showed significant correlation with every burnout factor. Thus, in determining the concrete causes of the differences in divisions, a plan can be implemented to establish the proper measures for the job characteristics in each division that contribute to the work efficiency of hotel employees.
