In this study, the removal of oxalic acid from bamboo shoots using distilled water and baking soda was investigated on the effect of temperature. The concentration of oxalic acid removed from bamboo shoots increased with increasing reaction time and temperature. Gibbs free energy (?G°) for the removal of oxalic acid from bamboo shoots using distilled water and baking soda was all negative, which indicated that a spontaneous process. And the positive values of enthalpy (?H°) indicated an endothermic reaction.
