In recent years, the rapidly aging society has seen the emergence of a new senior culture, with active seniors showing increased interest and effort in leisure activities and health management. Along with these changes, a lifestyle focused on health and happiness is spreading among active seniors. Notably, active seniors are actively investing in their health and appearance management, with a growing interest in beauty healthcare. Beauty healthcare behaviors provide various benefits beyond simple appearance management, including physical self-respect and psychological well-being, contributing to the improvement of active seniors’ quality of life. This study aims to analyze the impact of active seniors’ beauty healthcare behaviors on physical self-respect and psychological well-being. To this end, a survey was conducted on 200 men and women aged 50 to 69 residing in the Jeolla region. Data analysis included frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, Cronbach’s α coefficient calculation, descriptive statistical analysis, correlation analysis, and regression analysis. The analysis results showed that the age distribution was 114 (57.0%) in their 50s and 86 (43.0%) in their 60s, with 102 males (51.0%) and 98 females (49.0%). Beauty healthcare behaviors were found to have a significant positive effect on physical self-respect and psychological well-being. These findings suggest that this study can be used as valuable baseline data for policy development to improve the quality of life of active seniors in an aging society and for the development of the beauty healthcare industry.
